Received an ARC from the author for an honest review3.5 Stars18 year old Sophie has recently started working in a local gift shop, after the passing of the Aunt who raised her. Within the first few lines you realise that Sophie has not had an easy upbringing. While thinking about her future she meets David. They are immediately attracted to each other, David asks Sophie to go out to dinner with him and she accepts. Saying anything else will ruin the entire story, so forgive me.Okay so this was a very short read, but it's very promising. I would have loved more character development, although I did feel a connection with Sophie. The brash decision made at the end had me a bit confused so I'm wondering about the reason behind it. Hopefully this will be explained in the next book. Nevertheless I did enjoy it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick read!
